With the end of the reconstruction works of tram tracks and stop platforms, from February 28, tram route 5 will be restored on the main route "Iļguciems — Mīlgrāvis", while bus route 5T will be closed.
At the moment, the old trams will run on the route, in parallel work is being done on modeling new routes, so that when the construction works on the 7th tram route and the section of Slokas Street from Kalnciema Street to Jūrmala Street are completed, low-floor trams will run on the renovated section of the 5th Tram Route |

As the tram tracks, underground communications, as well as other infrastructure reconstruction works continue, additional traffic changes will be introduced on Slokas Street from Monday, February 12. It is planned that the new traffic restrictions will be in effect until April 30.
From February 12 to April 30, vehicular traffic will be closed on the section of Slokas Street from Mārtiņa Street to Hāmani Street (in the direction of Jūrmala Street). Traffic will also be closed on Mārtiņa Street and Krēslas Street at the intersection with Slokas Street. |
