The construction of the trolleybus system in Qarshi took place toward the end of the existence of the Soviet Union in 1989-1990. It was a typical Soviet project with a standard depot. According to many sources, the overhead was installed along the entire segment of the first phase from the main railway station to the Old Bazaar along the city's main thoroughfare Islom Karimov ko'chasi. The length of the first line was about 7 km. one way. The second extension was supposed to go to the industrial park where the trolleybus depot was being built. The routing of the second phase is obvious starting from Islom Karimov ko'chasi, via Mustaqillik shox ko'chasi, via the railway overpass, and to the site of the depot, while the rest of the route is easily projected via the remainder of Beshkent Road to the end of the industrial park. The estimated length of the second phase was about 5.5 km. one way.
The project was abandoned with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Construction of the depot was halted at an early stage. The overhead has been removed, while all overhead support poles have been removed later as part of the standard improvement project of reconstruction and widening of city streets, which were carried out in all Uzbek cities. The poles along the line to the depot have been removed around 2012. The following map of Qarshi trolleybus network is nearly fully accurate, with the exception of the exact location of the terminals at the Old Bazaar in the north, and in the industrial park in the west: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1...sharing +4
