I don't know the exact details of what happened (in Hamburg). If anyone can clarify this, please!
As far as I have been able to find out, the order consisted of only 2 vehicles. Why they were sent back to the factory after +/- 1 year, I don't know.
The liquidator was unable to find a buyer for the two vehicles. The betting price was 2000 euros + taxes, but no one bid on them. Purely informative: many other buses and coaches were sold though, sometimes for high prices.
Both the vehicles are in a very poor condition. Given that this is a complex and lengthy legal matter and that the settlement of this bankruptcy may take years, I suspect that both buses will be rotting away on that property for years to come, unless the liquidator gives them to the new owner for free, who then has to incur the cost of disposing of them...

A little bit difficult. The vehicle was made for Hamburg but never delivered. The vehicle's official papers no longer exist - at least according to the auction site.
The vehicle dates from 2016 and was already partially dismantled by the factory. The minimum bid is only 2000 euros and no one has bid on it (until now, 24 hours before the auction closes).
The chances of this vehicle ever being put into service anywhere are minimal. The auctioneer explained in a newspaper that this kind of vehicle would only be useful for parts, but even here no one is interested...

The building in the background also deserves attention.
This was the official building of the first urban tramway company, where the very first series of electric trams were also built and later became the workshop.
The building had served for this purpose for over 120 years, although there has been a decline with the years. After the electric work trams disappeared from the scene, only trucks and some lorries remained there.
The building was sold and vacated around 2023. The lorries were transferred to the Hoboken depot.

The route was abandoned on 01/09/2012, without major consequences:
there were no intermediate stops.
The tracks are maintained as a diversion route, which is occasionally useful.

The sign definitely dates back long before 2012: that's when the extensions to Wijnegem (route 5) and Boechout (route 15) were put into service.

Seemingly the tram's last time being in service. The tram was only coupled with other PCC trams and later got scrapped.
