18.03.2016 11:26 MSK In the MAN commercial vehicle guidebook "Leistung und Weg: Zur Geschichte des MAN Nutzfahrzeugbaus", MAN MKE series are referred to have monocoque bodies without chassis. IMHO, the Kassböhrer factory only contributed in building the body (as in case with ÜHIIIs trolleybus, where Uerdingen made the [frameless] body and Henschel - only the transmission components). I suspect the motor power is also wrong, as two sources state MKE 2 had 90 KW/h Siemens motors. This data is accurate and precise. Please correct.
p.s. MKE trolleybuses' length varied: this machine has a longer front overhang than the MKE 3 which worked in Rosario (Argentina). Cheers! 0

Лвов20.08.2011 20:53 MSK Цитата (Роман Васильев, 19.08.2011):
> Just keep what I said in mind. That's how you use modals in the past. OK. But please, remember, I didn't have good opportunity to study it... But again I tell not to critisize me for wrong using of modal verbs.

19.08.2011 13:48 MSK I suppose, that he could have TIBB BBC GLM-1273A motor or Alstom, but I'm not sure. I've got an Italian text about these trolleybuses, I'll check it and tell the correct data.

Лвов12.03.2011 08:31 MSK These were nice trolleybuses I suppose. Don't you know the dimensions of these MAN MKE 2 trolleys? It seems to me they're not over 10 meters. As I know MAN MK E3 had 9,75 m. And what electric motors did they have?
By the way, why are the wheel arches so big? Did those MAN's have air suspension? And what's those things on the trolley-poles? Did they have a function of rising and lowering the poles distantly? Well, I like exploring German trolleybuses, but this is a very interesting trolleybus. It's so pity that these fine trolleys didn't work in the Soviet Union! These look nice and durable, and we in the 60-s - 70-s had ugly koffins on wheels! 0
