Da, povremeno se pojavljuju na liniji 15 radnim danom prema potrebi kao zamjena za TMK 2300.

Yes, Tatra T4 trams appear occasionally on route 15 on workdays as a substitute for TMK 2300 when needed.

Museum Night. Every year, on last Friday in January, many Croatian museums open their doors free of charge.
During the event, a museum tram also operates in Zagreb clockwise on circular route: Trg bana Josipa Jelačića - Zrinjevac - Vodnikova - Frankopanska - Trg bana Josipa Jelačića. It is usually operated by the consist 88-520 depicted on the photo, except last year when TMK 101 ran instead because the M-24 and its trailer were being refurbished. This year, they returned in new livery, which they had during regular service in 1960s and 1970s.

Yes. Since the reconstructed Mihaljevac terminus is opened, route 8 is operated by both KT4 and TMK 2200.

But still I think that even basic gates at the depot exits that are controlled by the guards can prevent a tram or any other vehicle from being driven out of the depot. I can see on Google Street View that both depots (Trešnjevka and Dubrava) have gates. If they were closed, then did the tram just drive through them breaking the gates? Or were they left opened for some reason?

The trams have keys and locks, but at the time of incident, it was turned on, and apparently the guy somehow already had some basic knowledge of tram driving.

Exactly, this is only a nuisance to drivers. Besides that, there were several other incidents in both depots where individuals or groups would sneak and then draw graffiti, steal route signs or film themselves inside parked trams and sometimes post it on social media. It seems nothing is done to prevent that...

If you can sneak into the depot past the guards then having every driver be identified by them won't help much.

I think many other cities choose to buy trams that have some sort of physical security inside them (in addition to the security infrastructure in the depot).

A bizarre incident occured with this tram in April 2023. A 19-year old man managed to sneak into Trešnjevka depot during night and drive off with the tram. He drove it for approximately 1,5 km, while filming himself for the whole duration of the ride, until tram stop "Badalićeva" where he abandoned it on the street. The incident made headlines in local media, and a few days later the perpetrator was found. He wasn't fined for his actions, instead he received mandatory psychosocial treatment. Since the incident, when going on route, all tram drivers now have to be identified by depot guards.

Как такие длинные секции на неповоротных телегах держатся? Их же мотать должно дико, и рельсы в стружку сошкрябываться.
Или тут в гармошках умные тяги, выравнивающие вагон?

The photo depicts site of Mirogoj tram accident which occured on this day 70 years ago. Photo was taken at approximate time of the accident (8:30 AM). It depicts view uphill towards Mirogoj cemetery, while the tram involved in the accident ran in opposite direction, derailed in the right turn at the site and overturned.

On this day, 70 years ago, the worst tramway accident in Zagreb and one of the worst in the world occured at Mirogoj line. 19 people died in the accident, and 37 were injured.

The accident happened on a Sunday morning about 8:30 AM when a runaway M-24 tram #21 lost control while riding down Mirogoj Road and crashed in a right turn just before Gupčeva zvijezda intersection.

Mirogoj line was a steep uphill line, with gradient of over 90‰, which led to main cemetery in Zagreb. The line was at the day of accident especially busy due to upcoming All Saints' Day.

The tram operated on route 13 between Mirogoj and Šoštarićeva street and carried about 60 passengers. Departing from Mirogoj cemetery, the driver released the brakes, but upon entering first curve he realised the brakes had failed. Further attempts to slow the tram down were unsuccesful, and it ran downhill without control, reaching speed about 80 km/h. At the last curve before Gupčeva zvijezda, the tram derailed, overturned and struck several trees and a street light. Thirteen passengers died at the scene, with further six succumbing to injuries in hospital. 37 people, including the tram driver, were injured, most of them seriously.

During investigation, it was discovered that prior to the accident the tram had another incident when it collided with a horse-driven wagon, howewer due to no damage occuring the driver was ordered to continue driving to Mirogoj. It is believed that this previous incident contributed to the disaster, due to most of the sand being used up. However, the investigation concluded with the driver being blamed for the accident.

Mirogoj line was closed immediately after the accident, and was out of service until 1964 when it reopened, but only briefly. It was closed permanently in 1967 and dismantled in 1970.
Tram 21 involved in the accident was rebuilt and remained in service until 1974.

At the crash site, a small temporary memorial plaque was erected in 2004, which was later replaced with a stone one, depicted on the photo.
