It depends. During the last couple of days, line 108 was not operating - it was written on an A4 paper on ticket offices at Otoka and Dobrinja ("Dobrinja ne radi" and "Otoka ne radi" respectively). That's the most you can get in terms of passenger information.
Line 101 has only 2-3 services in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon. Now, when this route doesn't operate, there's no prior information at all, it's up to the passengers to see it for themselves.

Citizens are mostly satisfied by these vehicles, as they mark a significant progress and investment in public transport after decades of relative neglect, although they have quickly earned the not necessarily positive nicknames of "bijeloruske" and "lukašenke" among Sarajevans and local enthusiasts.

From a passenger's point of view, comfort is the same as in any other new low-floor vehicle and the ride is generally smooth, regardless of the state of Sarajevo's roads. The interior does seem simplistic and low-cost, but it is fairly negligible if your task is to get from point A to point B. They are equipped with information screens and vocal announcements, which work well but are hardly heard when the heating is on for example.

From a driver's point of view, these vehicles are not great for driving during longer periods and their closed cabin makes it harder for ticket checking upon boarding the trolleybus. As the overhead lines in the city have little to no flexible suspension, the sensitive trolley poles of these vehicles often tend to jump out of the wires, which leads to increased usage of the batteries (drivers usually only put the poles back on the overhead at the terminus).

From a technical aspect, these trolleybuses do have significantly more sensitive electronics on them and are therefore prone to more diverse malfunctions and breakdowns, but there have not been many of them so far.

Replying to Yury, GRAS had no role in choosing the vehicles (in fact, they weren't even destined to GRAS, but to a new company which was supposed to be created in 2022, hence the unusual vehicle numbers) - everything had be done through the Sarajevo Canton transport ministry and the EBRD, which wholly financed the acquisition through a loan. A first tender had already failed, so BKM won at the second attempt (they did not register for the first at all).

So far, the introduction into service of these vehicles has not resolved the chronic infrequency of the trolleybus lines - in fact, exactly the same number of vehicles are in daily service as two years ago. The company is now having a shortage of drivers and is slowly resolving the issue.

The new BKM trolleybuses operate on all lines, including 101 and 108 sometimes. Some vehicles operate solely on selected lines (n°56 on line 102 and n°60 on line 107 for example). Route 103 has the most BKMs as it also has the most vehicles, in addition to usually around 1 to 3 Swiss trolleybuses.

Decent attention to detail, congrats. Often, people do not notice the second one and shamelessly cut the regular one in order to repost the photo. What's even more shameful is that some official accounts of transport companies used my pictures sometimes with this method...

All 25 trolleybuses have been delivered as of now, of which 21 have already entered commercial service. The 10 optional vehicles will not be delivered as the remaining contract has been cancelled. A new tender will soon be published for these units.

How did the tram operate on the way back, as there is no turning loop in Günterstal?

There was an event surrounding the future extension of line 17, which opened 3 months later. A flyer can be found at https://www.bus-tram-geneve.ch/site/fete-sans-frontiere/.

The tram itself is not technically operable and requires to be towed by some vehicle. In this case, as the event was held on the two tracks heading to/from Annemasse, the 80 was towed to the main track after the event, then pushed backwards (as shown on the picture) in order to attach it to a DAV Be 4/6. It's the most realistic hypothesis.

A nice demonstration of how (un-)often trolleybuses pass in Athens, especially on route 2, based on my own experience - timetables are, of course, only a theoretical thing x)

Thanks! I used my Canon EOS 6D Mark II for this picture, whereas for all daylight pictures I still use my older Canon EOS 200D (I don’t have a normal 24-105mm or equivalent lens compatible with my 6D yet).

Indeed - what a coincidence x)

I took the opportunity of spending a night in Ostrava to try out night pictures with my 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, so the (manual) settings (except for the ISO) were:
1/30 s - f/2.8 - ISO 1000

Shooting at up to 1/60 s and at up to ISO 3200 usually results in sharp and fairly grainless pictures (in full-frame). Shots taken at a speed faster than 1/100 s and at more than ISO 3200 have high chances in being too grainy and less detailed.

Thanks for your answer. It is quite surprising to see new infrastructure being built for such diversions in 2022. I suppose that the main reason is because most trolleybuses aren't equipped with a diesel engine/battery... :P

Is the trolleybus catenary brand new on this street? Where does it lead to?

It is certainly second-hand, ex-Rouen precisely. Unfortunately, information is scarce in order to properly link the new numbers to the old ones...

Indeed, but the area was closed off on all DAV trams only a couple of years after this picture, mainly in 2002-2003, due to vandalism (I believe).

Yes, the line will be extended to the ZIPLO at first, in 2022/2023, but works have already begun in St. Julien as well (one street near the train station has been closed and is undergoing widening and other modifications) in order to quickly extend the line to there, which will probably happen in 2024 ;)
