I visited all tram systems in Ukraine before 1998. I visited "trolleybus only systems" if they were on the way. That was rarely the case. In the case of "Chmelnyzkyj", the first and only visit was in 2017.
The 1992 trip was extremely interesting, but unfortunately there wasn't much time in the cities. In 16 days we visited about 35 (? - forgotten the exact number) tram systems. The start was in Kiev, then south and eastwards, further via Rostov, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow. I still have contact with many of the friends I first met in 1992.
Matti, all of us on this site would be very much interested to see your photos from the 1992 visit. Especially the systems that are now closed, for example, from the Donbass region. Many thanks in advance.
The main problem - especially with the larger networks - is the exact photo position or street name. My records are incomplete. In the photo situation it was usually not possible to find out this informations. Reworking with "Google maps" was of course not possible at the time, and after many years the memory wears off a lot.
Matti, vielen Dank und vielen Dank für die historischen Fotos. Und Sie waren in Gorlovka? Und wenn Sie historische Fotos von Gorlovka haben, können Sie Sie bitte veröffentlichen?
