The tram on the left side: Why are there screws in the metal on the side and under the window? Usually - all trams are welded and no screws or rivets to hold them together!

Hm.. they must be made in a very special way then, never seen on any other tram. Design by soviet Institute of design and technology. Although I really wonder, what the screws are for, or if it was an "emergency repair" after an accident. There are for sure 1001 ways to build a tram and each is fascinating!

Specialists say that the plating of at least Škoda 9Tr trolleybuses is fastened by external screws too, maybe even in some Tatra T3s as well. The reason is that in case of an accident it is enough to replace only one steel plate (the one that is damaged) rather than the whole side of the tram.
