This picture is much more difficult to realise than it first appears. The frequencies do not correspond at all, the light-rail has to stand still at its stop while the city tram has to leave at its stop. Then there is the correct position of the sun and the fact that no interfering vehicles should be in the picture. The bus was just acceptable...
It is also the only place in the city where it is possible to combine trams from both tram companies in one picture: there is no alternative.

Broadway Bridge

The frequency of the tram is very sad, especially since it is a recent new line: 20-30 minutes is the norm, which is unacceptable for a city line. That there were no cars just at the moment the tram passed is pure photographer's luck.

Banfield Freeway, station Hollywood — Northeast 42nd Avenue

Outside the city centre, photo opportunities are limited: the tram lines are usually situated along a busy road, a railway line or even in a long tunnel. The presence of fences makes it difficult to take photos with a normal camera, although there was one opening here where it just worked. The opening was not 100 % ideal for photographing trams, but it was ideal for the whole situation.
