Metropolitain — Incheon / Suwon — Suin-Bundang Line (수인·분당선)

Seoul

The Suin–Bundang Line (Suwon–Incheon–Bundang Line) is a part of the Seoul regional metro system. The line is operated by Korail, the national rail operator in South Korea. It would most likely qualify as the S-Bahn line.

The 104,5 km-long line with 63 station originates in the central Seoul area, and connects major satellite towns of Bundang, Suwon and Incheon, encircling the Seoul metropolitan area via the suburban east — south — west corridor. The line operates on trackage known as the Suin Line (opened 30.06.2012) and the Bundang Line (01.09.1994). Operation under the Suin–Bundang Line identification started 12.09.2020.

The main terminuses in the central Seoul area are Wangsimni to Cheongnyangni, and the outer terminus is in Incheon. However, many trains terminate at various locations on the line such as Jukjeon, Gosaek, and Oido. Express services are also operated: the Bundang Line express service between Gosaek and Jukjeon, and the Suin Line express services between Incheon and Oido.

The Suin–Bundang Line is about 65% underground, with subway sections utilized through central Seoul, Suwon and Incheon area. The line shares trackage with the metro Line 4 between Hanyang University at Ansan and Oido.
