At the time of my visit, there were 2 running trams on the line. Trams are operated according to the possibilities and this is determined by the planned filming: sometimes the whole line is in service, sometimes only a part of it or nothing at all.

This studio can also be visited as an attraction and many schools make good use of it. As in Japan, the tram driver calls out what he is going to do and also points it out.

In the "city" there is also a tram crossing: it is fake, although of course it looks real. This all looks real and it is, but it leads to nothing. That is also where the tram went. This route is normally not in use.

The tracks to nowhere also ends abruptly in an environment that is not used as a film studio: this is where the staff is.

It looks nice, it is, but the trams are fake, as is the whole environment. The track width (I measured it on the spot) is not correct and is not used anywhere. This tram is a replica, although the local officials claim it is an original Shanghai tram.

There is also a real tram depot. I just had time to take this picture (1/25th of a second...) before I was kicked out of there.
It was not a public place but the way I was told... Fortunately, I don't speak Chinese, but the man was more than angry or furious...
So there is a third running tram, and a fourth was under construction on the right. On the left is a horse tram.
Furthermore, in another hangar there is another tram, but with tyres...

A lot of vehicles are stored in a hangar.
Most of the cars will be real, the rest is questionable and the trolleybus is more than likely fake. They don't have overhead wires in the studio. The vehicle will be able to drive autonomously.
