The way the tram was decorated did not matter: the tram would never return to service and would later be scrapped. The route number on the tram was changed on request: officially this was a route 30.

To allow the much heavier BN tram on this route, renovation works were carried out. This route was cloasd a few years later (in 1986), without a BN tram ever running. The works also stopped abruptly.

Some questions will never be answered, such as why this tram has a pantograph as well as a trolley. The trolley comes from a tram transferred from Brussels, but why it was fitted to this one will remain a mystery.

The tram has long since disappeared, and that house also, but the tram road still exists.
The fence, of which a part can be seen on the left, was already in a precarious state in 1970 and still stands...

Dour, Avenue Victor Regnart

The petrol station has changed of owner (Texaco to Esso) and taken over the white house in the background. The tram stop has remained unchanged: the tracks have been broken up, most of the masts have disappeared, but otherwise the surroundings have remained unchanged.
