Pilatusbahn — world's steepest rack railway.

The Pilatus Railway (Pilatusbahn, PB) is the steepest mountain rack railway in the world, with a maximum gradient of 48% and an average gradient of 35%. The line runs from Alpnach, on Lake Alpnach, to a terminus near the Esel summit of Mount Pilatus at an elevation of 2,073 m. At Alpnach, the Pilatusbahn connects with trains on the Brünigbahn line of Zentralbahn, and with steamers on Lake Lucerne.

There are also electric buses operated by a branch of PostAuto in Sarnen.
