Открывающих сайт щецинского трамвая огромными буквами приветствует надпись в шапке заглавной страницы: "Становись водителем трамвая". И рядом такими же огромными буквами "Мы предлагаем PLZ 6200". На сегодня это 1448 Евро...

...And now let's look at the photo screener's grading below under the photo - this photo was returned to the author 11 times (!). At the same time, judging by the questions in the editorial room, this author had never realized what was required of him in terms of vehicle fleet number assignments and their priority. And this is just one of many examples from the editor’s room recently.

It seems the topic has already been raised again and again. UNTIL all the vehicle assignment rules are clearly spelled out in the 'rule' section of the site (and translated into all languages used on site), and unless there is a system introduced within the site interface, so that photo screeners can provide clear and understandable feedback of what is required of the authors when returning photos for corrections - all these returns of photos for 'corrections' are counterproductive, and look like harassment of the authors.

We are lucky Michael 83 had enough patience to handle all of the above. The vast majority of authors, especially foreign authors (due to a lack of understanding of what is happening), will simply give up and will not bother with a site like this. Which, from what I see, unfortunately happens all the time now.

I would like to voice a proposal that the administration of the site should consider - which is more important: the bureaucracy of vehicle assignments and small unimportant quality issues, or the presence on the site of interesting informative authors from around the world.

What we have now is that authors from all over the world come to the site, attracted by the unique database and collection of photos, as well as a user-friendly interface, which has no analogue in the world. After which this website for some reason harasses the authors and chases them away with bureaucracy and excessive moderation. Lately, this issue has gone completely off the charts lately. Please note, without good authors there will be no interesting and informative site!

As always, the answer is somewhere in the middle: simplified rules that are spelled out and easily available for reference, and an end to unnecessary over-excessive moderation of photos. I hope I will be heard this time.

UPD: For English-speaking users I've updated the photo upload page with simple explanations of rules of vehicle assignment and some aspects of quality of photos required. This is the 'first step' with tools available to me right now. I will send my further proposals to the adminsitrators. Please open the photo upload page AND select English language in the upper right corner. I hope this helps for the time being ...

...А теперь посмотрим оценки модераторов внизу под фото - данное фото возвращалось автору 11 раз (!). При этом, судя по вопросам в редакторской, автор так и не понял что от него требуют по очерёдности и второстепенности привязки. И это только один пример из редакторской последнего времени (просто этот пример зашкальный).

Вроде тема уже поднималась. ПОКА на сайте не будут чётко и лаконично прописаны (и переведены на другие языки) все правила привязки, и пока нет системы чтобы модераторы на чётком и понятном языке (или при помощи соответствующих инструментов в случае зарубежных авторов) могли объяснять что от авторов требуется по мере возвращения фото - все эти возвращения на "исправления" контрпродуктивны, и смотрятся как придирки.

Хорошо, у уважаемого Michael 83 было достаточно терпения со всем этим рулиться. Подавляющее большинство авторов, особенно зарубежных (в следсвтии непонимания происходящего), просто махнёт рукой и с таким сайтом возиться не будет. Что, собственно, постоянно и происходит.

Есть предложение, что уважаемой администрации нужно определиться, что важнее: бюрократия привязки вагонов и вечные придирки по мелочам по качеству, или налиничие на сайте интересных информативных авторов из разных стран мира. Ибо пока ситуация выглядит как пиление ветки, на которой сайт сам сидит. Авторы со всего мира приходят на сайт, привлекаемые уникальной базой и коллекцией фото, а также не имеющим аналога в мире удобным пользовательским интерфейсом фотосайта. После чего сайт сам же гоняет авторов метлой бюрократии и придирок по модерации. Последнее время опять пошёл полный зашкал с этим вопросом. Коллеги, без интересных авторов не будет интересного сайта!

Как всегда ответ где-то по середине: доступно прописанные упрощённые правила и прекращение придирок в модераторской.

Indeed, this is the exact location, I did the ncessary for the corrections, and add the location on the map.

I didn't have much more than a sheet of paper to write tram numbers and street signs. A paper street map at home helped me further figure out the correct spelling or the location, if I hadn't noted it down on the spot. Also keep in mind that there was no internet back then to check exact locations via Streetview. Here, even at home, I did'nt figure out the correct location. If a local editor or an user knows them exactly, he may correct the photo.
