CNR Changchun QKZ6中车长春轨道客车股份有限公司 CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, former CNR ChangchunTypenliste · Fotos · Fahrzeugliste The CNR Changchun QKZ6 is a five-section, 100% low floor tram/light rail vehicle developed by the then CNR Changchun. The QKZ6 was the first fully low tram developed in China, meeting targets set in the (2006) 11th Five Year Plan. Design of the vehicle was completed in 2007, the vehicle manufacturing completed in 2009, testing started in 2010 and it formally entered service on 19 October 2012. Achieving a fully low floor was a significant technological breakthrough, and it was developed entirely independently of foreign technology. Aside from the bogies, the design team of the QKZ6 also achieved firsts (for China) in traction converters, auxiliary power systems, traction motors, aluminium body, modular articulation node and a digital networking system for the vehicle. Only one vehicle of this type was produced, #3041. It initially operated on Changchun Rail Transit Line 3 during the testing phase with a white livery, then was repainted to blue when it was formally launched on Line 4. It would not see much service, due to its significant differences and lower capacity to other light rail vehicles used by Changchun Rail Transit. It was effectively retied by the late 2010s and has been in storage since.
