Open motor #89 has been out of service for about 20 years by 1934 and remained in storage, among other retired cars, in the East Dallas carbarn. Most of them were destroyed by fire, which broke out on 10/24/1934, but #89 and #68 (large open trailer) survived — only to be scrapped in 1935.

Моторный вагон 89 к 1934 году не эксплуатировался около 20 лет и хранился, среди прочих изъятых из эксплуатации, в депо Ист-Даллас. Большинство из них были уничтожены пожаром 24 октября 1934 года, но 89 и большой открытый прицеп 68 его пережили — лишь для того, чтобы быть окончательно списанными в 1935 году.
