The Calgary Light Rail was opened in 1981, and became only the 2nd Light Rail system in North America (after Edmonton) that was designed and built anew. Hence a distinct legacy of the system are high platforms. These look especially out of place within the open-surface transit mall that cuts through downtown.

At the time of this photo the Red Line (201) still operated to Brentwood only (see the destination sign).

Сеть скоростного трамвая (Light Rail) в Калгари открылась в 1981 г., и стала второй спроектированной и построенной "с нуля" сетью СТ в Северной Америке (после Эдмонтона). Как следствие, отличительной особенностью сети являются высокие платформы. Такие станцие смотрятся особенно неуместно на открытой трамвайной улице, проходящей через весь центр города.

На момент съёмки Красная линия (маршрут 201) шла только до станции Brentwood (cм. МУ).
