Berlín, Endstelle Rahnsdorf, S-Bahnhof
The final day attracted many tram enthusiasts. The increased frequency also gave an opportunity to see tram crossings in places where it never or rarely happened under normal circumstances.

German fans NEVER know how to line up for a photo shoot. They should all be sent to Ghent for the tutorial )

Here the circumstances were completely different from those in Ghent. In Woltersdorf, it was about frequent regular traffic, with in my opinion ideal weather conditions: there was no need to look at the position of the sun. The many tram enthusiasts who turned up were really scattered all along the line and moving around. They had all day to do this.
While in the past there were a few with a soapbox, now you have masses of people (trying?) to take photos with smartphones. These are really facing the tram and - if you have a particular theme in mind - that can get quite annoying. Such a nice photo and story still hanging in the queue...
It was possible for 35 years (and more) to take photos there in peace and quiet - and I took advantage of that on several occasions. The presence of the many photographers just characterised the last day of operation of these old trams and fit perfectly into the picture - as far as they are in the background, of course.
