The situation in 1970 was still exactly as it had been when this extension was brought into service in 1926.
A few years later, the tracks were moved to the centre of the road, where they still lie today.
Much later, this tram line was extended once again to Wondelgem and subsequently to Evergem, making this terminus a regular stop.

Due to track works, this place is once again serving as a temporary terminus, and this (now) historic tram fits much more easily into a photo than a 40-metre tram...
