Herentalsebaan

Tunnel entrance / exit at Herentalsebaan
This tunnel is used by line 8, the tunnel section is about 2500 m long with end station Astrid.
Line 8 is the only line with an underground end station. West of Astrid the line uses an underground U turn to come back to the outbound platform of Astrid.
Line 8 services the following metro stations: Morckhoven(not in operation, will be opend in the summer of 2026) – College(not in operation, will probebly never be opened) – Zegel – Drink (not in operation, will be opened in the spring of 2026) – Carnot(not in operation, no opening date planned) – Astrid (cross station).

Tunnel entrance / exit at Ten Eeckhovelei.
This tunnel is used by line 5, the tunnel section is about 5000 m long with exit at the left bank of the river Schelde at Blancefloerlaan (photo https://transphoto.org/photo/1936051/).
Line 5 services the following metro stations: Schijnpoort – Handel – Elisabeth – Astrid (cross station) – Opera (cross station) – Meir – Groenplaats – Van Eeden.

This tunnel is used by line 10, the tunnel section is about 2700 m long with exit at the Frankrijklei.
Line 10 services the following metro stations: Foorplein(not in operation, no opening date planned) – Zegel – Drink (not in operation, will be opened in the spring of 2026) – Carnot(not in operation, no opening date planned) – Astrid (cross station) – Opera (cross station).

Weelde

The arrival of bogies from disposed BN Coastal trams.
These are kept in a storage facility, along with all possible parts of all kinds of vehicles (trams and buses), as spare parts for existing museum trams and buses.
Other buses and trams are also stored here, awaiting restoration or a place in a museum. In the background the trolleybus from Ghent is visible, which was repainted in the De Lijn colours in the meantime.

Tramplein

During the weekend of 11/12 January 2020, half of an imposing and historic railway bridge was demolished. The bridge will be rebuilt in the same historical style. Route 11 was therefore interrupted during that weekend. 24 hours after the shooting the works were finished and everything was cleared and only the catenary had to be reinstalled.

К/ст ¨MAS¨ (Museum aan de Stroom) трамвая №7 (Eilandje — Mortsel). Строительство линии трамвая в Eilandje и далее в Luchtbal, где соединится с линией трамвая №6, продолжается.
Бывшая к/ст "Sint-Pietersvliet" трамвая №7 в маршрутном движении больше не используется.

After more than 100 years, the route number 8 disappeared (temporarily) and services were taken over by route 4. Only the route number changed, but it still was an occasion for an spontaneous celebration on the very last journey.
