Cars of the 600 class were built between 1959-1963 by three different manufacturers - Hitachi, Naniwa Kōki and Teikoku Sharyō. Rebuilt in 1967-1975, and additionally rebuilt in 1999-2001. There are plans to fit the new body on these cars and thus prolong their lifespan.

Вагоны 600-й серии были построены между 1959-1963 гг. тремя производителями - Hitachi, Naniwa Kōki и Teikoku Sharyō. Вагоны были перестроены в 1967-1975 гг., а также перестроены ещё раз в 1999-2001 гг. Существуют планы продлить жизнь этим вагонам, и перестроить их с использованием нового корпуса.
