In 1989 cars 2101 and 2102 were manufactured to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Kagoshima City system and the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Kagoshima City Electric Railway. Fleet number 2100 derives from is from 'the 21st century'.

For reasons unknown these cars don't appear in service often.

Вагоны 2101 и 2102 были произведены по особому проекту в 1989 г. к 100-й годовщине транспортной сети Кагосимы и 80-й годовщине открытия трамвая в Кагосиме. Номер серии "2100" выбран по ассоциации с "21-м веком".

По неизвестным причнам данные вагоны выходят на линию крайне редко.
