Many thanks for the photos, this was truly a unique line.

The Straßenbahn-Gegenverkehr operation on the bridge. The official excuse for the closure of the line, I think was this old bridge. The bridge replacement project didn't include trams.

If this bridge had not been a problem, it would have been the other bridge along the route... https://transphoto.org/photo/1557227/
This bridge was also demolished in 2005 and replaced by a new one. The tram had already been withdrawn 3 years earlier...
