Shortly after this photo was taken, the tram had to be moved away from this location for permanent storage, after having stood there for more as 30 years. The tram is probably now stored in a reserve shed hired by the Liège Tram Museum, mostly somewhere in or near Liège.

Arrival of the 301 from Liège (the tram service had been closed in 1968) for storage ( awaiting a future) in Brussels.

I’ve made the photo a little darker as there’s a rather unusual detail here: there are four overhead wires. One for the RELSE tram (this tram), a second wire for the city tram (separate electricity bills) and finally, two wires for the trolleybus, which also ran along the same street. This is quite a unique situation.

Neither the author nor the exact date is mentioned on the photo, which comes from my collection.
