Chronology

19.05.2023 Открыта новая станция метро Potomac Yard на общем участке синей и жёлтой линий, на перегоне между станциями Braddock Road и Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport.
15.11.2022 Открыт новый участок линии метро Silver Line («Серебрянная линия») от станции «Wiehle-Reston East» до станции «Ashburn».
Участок состоит из 6 станций: Reston Town Center, Herndon, Innovation Center, Dulles International Airport, Loudoun Gateway, Ashburn. Станция «Dulles International Airport» — эстакадная, остальные станции — наземные, расположенные на разделительной полосе автомобильной трассы.
Длина нового участка — 17,9 км, общая длина Silver Line теперь составляет 66,1 км.
27.02.2016 Opening of the tram line via H Street between Union Station — Benning Road.
28.01.1962 Streetcar operation in Washington (DC) is discontinued.
