Странно, что руки поднялись утилизировать один из них аж в 2004 году.

Маршрутники на бугелях?! Это что-то новенькое! Вернее, уже старенькое, забытое. Но прикольно сморится!

When a popular old series of trams is taken out of service, everyone wants to keep one. After a few years, the same problems arise everywhere: either they cannot maintain the tram, or there is no space to keep it, or no money. A combination of the three is also possible.
Amsterdam had once the luxury (?) of owning several competing associations. That ended badly (at least for 1 association) and that explains why a lot of Amsterdam trams ended up in foreign museums (Germany, the U.K.) after 2000, or were scrapped.
History repeated itself: there were many older trams available, but money, space, interest...
There is no point in keeping more than 2 trams of the same type. One operable is enough, a second one as a back-up and some spare parts: that's workable.
