Streetcars are for the last time used in passenger service. On Memorial Day several cars provide special service between Sandusky and Oakland Cemetery. |
25.05.1938 |
Soldiers Home line in Sandusky, the last rail service of the Lake Shore Electric, is converted to bus. |
14.05.1938 |
Last day of the interurban service on the Lake Shore Electric. Cleveland–Toledo line, Fremont–Bellevue–Ceylon Junction (Norwalk) shuttles and Gibsonburg branch are converted to bus the following day. |
13.05.1938 |
Norwalk local service is discontinued. |
15.11.1937 |
Fremont–Ceylon Junction (Norwalk) line is split into two shuttles terminating at Bellevue due to underpass construction at Main Street. |
