Maintenance on the site has been completed.


— Upload Index. The logic for calculating and adjusting the Upload Index has been completely overhauled. We’ve fixed bugs that caused the index value to be calculated incorrectly in some cases. If you noticed any discrepancies, they’ve been resolved.

— Role icons. Users holding administrative or editorial roles are now marked with special icons. The icons appear next to the username on the photo page and on the profile page.

— EXIF search. A new section has been added to the search form: search by EXIF data. You can now search for photos by camera manufacturer and model, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

— User complaints. We’ve added the ability to submit a request under the “User Complaint” category, including complaints about the editorial board’s actions. All complaints are sent directly to the site administrators.

— Optimization. We’ve performed general script optimization to improve the site’s stability and speed.

The rules on "Acceptance of Vehicle Photos" have been updated.

Photos taken during daytime and nighttime are not considered equivalent; in the absence of any changes to the vehicle, the photo will be rated as "I•".

Paragraph 1.19 has been supplemented and Paragraph 2.5 has been added to the Site Rules.

The "How is the download index calculated" section has been updated, and information about re-review has been added:

"In some cases, if necessary, the photo may be reviewed by the administrators within 100 days of the final assessment (rejecting or publishing the photo). In this case, the index is changed on a general basis."

If you have problems logging in, please try clearing your browser cache completely and, if that doesn't help, use a different browser. Some users may experience problems with authorisation when using the Yandex browser.

Paragraph 4.4.1 has been added to the Site Rules.

Section 8 has been added to the Site Rules, describing the rules and mechanisms for holding the photo contest.

All photos have been uploaded. Normal operations are fully resumed now.

On the week from 24 till 30th of March the website may be temporary unavailable because of technical works related to moving to a new server. A part of older photos will be uploaded later, there is no need to report their unavailability. There will be a separate notice after upload completion. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Extention of 5.6. Paragraph of Website Rules.

Added paragraph 1.7 of the photo information rules, which formalises the current practice when streets and other objects are renamed.

An addition was made to paragraph 4.6.2. of the Website Rules. The norms of indicating “anniversary” photos and congratulations with them have been described.

We remind you that photos of heavily dirty vehicles are rated one step lower in quality.

It is now possible to specify angles of view for double-ended vehicles. The old definition "Angle not defined" has been deleted and can no longer be selected. It is assumed that for double-ended vehicles there is no view from the "rear", but all views are of the "front" of the vehicle. If the vehicle is pre-defined in the database as "double-ended", the corresponding pictogram of possible angles of view will be offered automatically on the photo upload page. Otherwise users can switch to the "double-ended" pictogram manually. As was the case before, the actual direction of movement does not matter when selecting angles of view.
